Fremont Mischief Began With A Builder’s Hands And An Artist’s Heart.

Founded by Mike Sherlock, a lifelong craftsman known for designing fishing boats and houseboats across the Pacific Northwest, the distillery was born from his belief that “all life is art.” What started as one man’s creative pursuit became a place where people, ingredients, and ideas came together to create something truly special.

Today, that same spirit continues — evolved for a new era.

Under new leadership, Fremont Mischief carries forward Mike’s legacy of craftsmanship, curiosity, and community. Every bottle we make honors the hands that came before us and the land that sustains us — from local farmers and maltsters to the friends who gather around our tables.

We’re proud to continue writing this story here on the canal — blending time-honored distilling with a fresh, modern experience that celebrates connection, flavor, and the Pacific Northwest way of life.
